As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I know that facing life’s challenges—whether in relationships, work, or personal struggles—can feel daunting and often isolating.
I’m committed to providing a space where you can feel truly heard and understood. I believe in building a trusting, supportive relationship where we can explore the challenges you’re facing together. Whether you’re dealing with stress, navigating a life transition, or just looking to better understand yourself, I’m here to guide you. I use evidence-based practices while tailoring our approach to your unique needs.
Outside of work, I’m an avid traveler, a big animal lover, and a foodie always seeking new culinary adventures. When I’m not exploring the world or painting, you can find me unwinding with a good true crime podcast or a book.
My goal is to empower you to discover your inner strength and create meaningful change. Together, we can work towards a life that feels more balanced, fulfilling, and true to who you are.

Hi, I’m Dr. Micah Goodwin, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner serving clients across Maryland.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, struggling to stay focused, battling anxiety or depression, or going through a major life transition, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. I work with young adults, college students, and Black women who are ready to feel more in control, more balanced, and more like themselves again.
I specialize in ADHD, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Whether you’re dealing with procrastination, disorganization, racing thoughts, burnout, or just feeling “stuck,” we’ll work together to understand what’s going on and create a plan that actually fits your life—not a one-size-fits-all approach.
My style is warm, collaborative, and practical. I’ll help you make sense of how your mind works and give you tools you can use in your real, everyday routine. If you’ve ever felt overlooked, misunderstood, or like you’ve had to “push through” on your own, this space is different—this is where you get support that truly sees you.
I have a particular passion for working with Black women, especially those whose ADHD has been missed or misdiagnosed. I also welcome conversations around faith, spirituality, and church community, and I’m happy to integrate those into your care if that’s important to you.
I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice from Regis College, where I trained under Dr. Aastha Krebs and developed a strong foundation in patient-centered, evidence-based care.
My goal is simple: to help you feel clearer, calmer, and more confident in how you move through your life.
